Packers Limp Into Preseason Opener

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers are limping a bit as they kickoff their preseason schedule Saturday against the Cleveland Browns.

Coach Mike McCarthy says his starters, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers, will play about 20 snaps before they exit the game at Lambeau Field.

Cornerback Al Harris (knee) and safety Atari Bigby (ankle) started training camp on the physically unable to perform list. Brad Jones, penciled in to replace departed free agent Aaron Kampman at outside linebacker, left the opening practice with a back injury. Linebacker Clay Matthews is also out with a hamstring injury.
