James "Jim" Borski, 76, Rothschild, passed away Monday August 16, 2010 at the Hospice House, Wausau.

He was born January 8, 1934, in Wausau, son of the late Victor and Clara (Kwiatkowski) Borski. On June 7, 1958, he married Sally Platta at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. She survives.

He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1955 until 1957 with the Military Police.

Jim had been employed with UPS for 26 years retiring in 1990. After retiring, he was associated with the Central Wisconsin Auto Auction for 20 years. Among his favorite things to do were golfing and traveling, especially to Florida during the winter. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 248, Wausau.

Survivors include his wife, Sally, a daughter, Stephanie (Al) Ashbeck, Mosinee, two grandchildren, Ashley and Tanner, three best friends, Frank, Mia & Daisy, two sisters, Rose Towle and Kathy Gabrielski-Borski, both of Wausau, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 21, 2010 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Janusz Kowalski will preside. Inurnment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army or the Marathon County Humane Society.
