Young couple, toddler found dead in Superior

SUPERIOR, Wis. (AP) -- Superior police say the deaths of a man, pregnant woman and a 13-month-old girl are likely the result of a homicide and suicide.

Police Capt. Chad Lor says a weapon was found at the scene of the crime Wednesday afternoon. The three were found in the same area of the house.

Angel Johnson was a friend of the 26-year-old woman and said she was expected her child "any day."

Johnson says her friend had recently taken a job as an assistant cheerleading coach at Duluth East High School. Friends say the 23-year-old man served in the 121st Field Artillery, based in Milwaukee, and was a combat engineer with the 724th Engineer Battalion in Superior.

Another friend, Darrell Blaylock, told the Duluth News Tribune that visited the family Monday and nothing seemed to be out of line.
