MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Ryan Braun hit his first homer in nearly a month and Chris Dickerson drove in two runs to lead the Milwaukee Brewers over the San Diego Padres 6-5 Saturday night.
One night after three relievers held the Padres scoreless, the Brewers use four relief pitchers to hold off San Diego after another rough outing by a starter.
Chris Narveson lasted only three-plus innings for the Brewers, giving up three runs and four hits. Mike McClendon (1-0) pitched three scoreless innings to get his first career win and Zach Braddock pitched a scoreless seventh.
Kameron Loe gave up two runs in the eighth inning, but John Axford came on to get the final five outs for his 19th save in 21 chances.
