Neumann lawyer asks for withdrawal

WAUSAU (WAOW) - The court-appointed lawyer for a Weston man convicted in the death of his daughter--wants off the case.

Court records show Marion Buckley filed a motion to withdraw from Dale Neumann's case.

Judge Vincent Howard has yet to rule on the request.

Last August Dale and his wife, Leilani Neumann, were convicted of relying on faith healing, instead of getting medical help for their daughter, who later died from untreated diabetes.

A judge sentenced the couple to 6 months in jail and 10 years probation.

The couple said they would appeal so far that hasn't happened.
