David R. Olinger, 17, Wausau died Friday August 20, 2010.
David was born Dec. 3, 1992 to Jack and Janelle Olinger. He was going to be a senior at Wausau West High School.
He enjoyed spending time on his computer and playing video games and time with his girlfriend. His passions were flying, (he had taken flying lessons) his ‘84 Chevy El Camino, scuba diving, and watching movies. He loved being with his sisters and the time he could spend with each of them.
Survivors include his father, Jack (Marilyn) Olinger, Weston; mother Janelle Olinger (Alan Grischke), Wausau; sisters, Katie (Mark) Cosmas, Phoenix, AZ., Courtney Olinger, San Diego, CA., Whitney Olinger, Savannah, GA.; paternal grandmother, Uarda Boyd, Carol Stream, IL.; maternal grandmother, Della Seiler, Green Bay; step-sister, Casie Scott, Charlotte, N.C.; step-brother, Brad Scott, Huntsville, AL. and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau. Guests are requested to wear casual, colorful clothing (not black) in David's memory. A celebration of David's life for family, close friends and classmates will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Christ Community Church 8100 Alderson St., Schofield. Dr. Robin Wilde will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Re Spectrum Community a non- profit charitable organization run by David's sister Courtney to benefit and educate parents how to deal with Aspergers Syndrome, a form of autism @ http://respectrum.org
