Two caught in burglary of home of dead war vet

SUPERIOR (AP) -- Superior police have arrested two people and are seeking another for allegedly stealing items from the home of an Iraqi veteran who shot and killed his family before killing himself.

The Duluth News Tribune reported police received tips Wednesday about a burglary at the house where Matthew Magdzas killed his pregnant wife, April Oles-Magdzas, 1-year-old daughter Lila, and three dogs last week.

Police arrested 21-year-old Travis Lee Sherman and 18-year-old Echo Cordelia Banks after authorities say they found items believed to be taken from the Magdzas residence. Numbers for both could not be found.

Police were still looking for 22-year-old Nicholas Erving Doty. A message left with investigations Sgt. Derrick Hughes was not immediately returned Saturday.
