Saturday sports report 8/28/10

(WAOW)-  Week one of the high school football season continued on Saturday with a few more games on the docket.  Rhinelander opened up a new year at home hosting Milwaukee Riverside but the Hodags dropped their opener 33-7.  Pacelli didn't have any trouble with Milwaukee Washington though as the Cardinals won in a rout 54-6.

In cross country at the Hodag Invite in Rhinelander, DC Everest won the boys side edging Wausau East.  On the girls side, Wausau West took first with East in second.
