WAUSAU (WAOW) -- It's part of the International Watercross Association's World Series event.
Over 70 drivers came out for the event. The sportsmanship of watercross showed greatly among everyone participating.
"The racers, we're all like a family. We all get along really well, the racers in trouble, has trouble with their sled; during a race we'll help another racer, that's why we're out here," said competitor Dennis Rhynar.
Drivers say the key is to keep the sled going about 35 miles an hour.
Money raised from this weekend's races will benefit non-profits in the Wausau area including the Komen Foundation and the Salvation Army.
This was the 4th year the Snowmobile Watercross Race. It was held at Sunnyvale Park.
