MEMPHIS (PRESS RELEASE)- The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team defeated Heidelburg University by a score of 1-0 Saturday afternoon in Memphis, Tennessee.Junior Hillary Sauer scored three minutes into the second half for the Pointers' and game's only goal. Sauer scored off of a pass from senior Mary Jean Cornelius.The Pointers had several more chances as they fired up 14 shots, nine of them being on goal compared to just two shots for Heidelburg. Senior goalkeeper Liz Hunter had one save for the Pointers.The Pointers (2-0) return to action tomorrow afternoon in Memphis where they will take on Rhodes College at 10 a.m.
