CRANDON (WAOW) - With another World Championship Off-Road Race in the books, the drivers were raving about the track, the town, and the fans in Crandon.
AMSOIL Cup winner Scott Douglas said that the Crandon race was always special for him. He was amazed at the way a small town became a big city for the twice-annual races.
3-time Sprint Cup race winner Robby Gordon echoed those sentiments. Right after finishing a weekend in which he recorded 3 DNF's in 3 starts, Gordon was already talking about making the necessary adjustments for next year's trip to the Northwoods. He compared the World Championships to the biggest races on the other circuits, including NASCAR's Daytona 500 and IndyCar's Indianapolis 500.
