David L. Trembath

David L. Trembath, 77,1211 Ankor St., Wausau, died Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

He was born December 4, 1932, in Hurley, WI, to the late Richard and Ida (Forseman) Trembath.  He married Rose Marie Pasqualucci, his high school sweetheart, on July 11, 1953, in Montreal, WI.  Together they raised four children.

As a young father, Dave worked in the iron ore mines of the Iron Range in northern Wisconsin before relocating to Wausau 51 years ago.  His optimistic personality made him a natural salesman, and he worked for some years selling cars and insurance.   He later joined Kolbe and Kolbe, where he worked for over 20 years and eventually retired.

Dave had a love for being outdoors, whether in the woods or his own backyard and garden.  Some of his favorite times were spent in a deer stand or duck blind hunting with his sons.  Dave took enormous pride in his entire family.  He so enjoyed hearing stories about the simple day-to-day activities in all of their lives, and took great interest in their accomplishments.  David truly loved family gatherings and spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He dearly cherished his wife of 57 years.  With his family together, he loved to laugh, share a meal, tell stories, and reminisce.

Dave was a humble, kind man.  He lived a good and honest life. For the smallest of gestures to those of more meaning, David always said thank you—and meant it.  His illness required so much courage, and his bravery will be the legacy he leaves his family and friends.  Without doubt, his children were proud of their father.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Trembath, Wausau; daughter Linda (Jeff) Frese, Wausau, and their children Amy (John) Levek, Erin (Marquell) Johnson, and Abby Frese; son Gary (Holly) Trembath, Wausau, and their children Kate (Mark) Demien, and Molly (Alan) Stenger; son Mike (Lynn) Trembath, Hatley, and their children Craig (Jennifer) Trembath, and Jenny (Vladimir  Makarov) Trembath; daughter Lori (Paul) Bychinski, Wausau; two great-grandchildren, Caelob and Clara Johnson;  brother Donald (Annabelle) Trembath, Rhinelander; sister Dorothy Denn, Michigamme, MI.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Richard Trembath.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at the Church of the Resurrection, 621 Second St., Wausau.  Reverend James Schaefer will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau, and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
