MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Former Oklahoma basketball player Rosalind Ross has been fatally shot outside a Milwaukee restaurant.
Police say the 30-year-old Ross was shot Wednesday night while in a vehicle in a fast-food restaurant's parking lot.
Ken Williams, who was Ross' high school coach at Milwaukee Tech, confirmed to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that the victim was the former basketball player.
Police said in a news release Thursday that a 27-year-old woman is in custody. They say the suspect and the victim knew each other.
Ross played college ball at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M before going to Oklahoma. She was on the team when it played in the national championship game in 2002.
