On September 23 and 24th our area saw 3 inches.. to over 9 inches of rain fell across North Central Wisconsin.
This caused rivers, dams and lakes to overflow their banks.. with record breaking crests of the Black River and Yellow River and historic levels of all local rivers.
The flooding caused numerous road, park and school closings.
It also caused evacuations of homes and businesses.
Because of our viewers.. we were able to tour the flooding from all around the area.
In Wausau the Wisconsin river flooded many local parks including Oak Island and Gilbert.
Dams were flowing at full capacity.
In Stevens point the there was high water near the New Page Dam and Dubay Dam in Eau Pleine.
The Little Wolf river flowed across Franzen Road in Galloway.
Dorchester Park was inundated with water.. along with Riverside park in Pitsville.
The rivers crested and the water will recede.. but the worst flooding in over 100 years will be remembered.
