Connie Wiza


Connie Wiza, 89 Life long resident of Rosholt, died Tuesday November 2, 2010 at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital. She was born Konrada Shulist (Connie Schulist) on February 18, 1921 in the Town of Sharon. Daughter of the late Nick & Martha (Kujawski) Schulist. She attended local schools in the Town of Alban.

Her marriage to Ben Wiza took place on May 9, 1942. Ben died on February 1, 2001.

Connie worked at Blue Top Supper Club as a cook. She also was a Home Maker.

She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, involved in various functions at the church including funeral luncheons and the church picnics.

Connie was a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society for many years.

She enjoyed bingo, playing dice & cards, cooking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Gladys Wiza of Stevens Point and Judy (Mike) Yenter of Rosholt. Sons, Robert (special friend Cheryl) Wiza of Horicon, Don (Lorelei Walczak) Wiza of Stevens Point, Ronald (Mary) Wiza ,Leroy (Mary Jane) Wiza, Sam (Cindy) Wiza and Gary (Sue) Wiza all of Rosholt.

17 Grandchildren & 10 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by Sister in law, Gertrude Schulist of Stevens Point, Brother in law & Sister in Law, Edwin (Delores) Wiza of Polonia, numerous nieces & nephews.

Preceded in death by 4 brothers, Leo, Richard, Jerry, & Albin. Sisters, Isabelle Printz & Sophie Schulist. Daughter in law, Joan Wiza.

The Family would like to thank the staff at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital and Stevens Point Care Center for their loving care and support of Connie.

Funeral Mass 10:00a.m. Saturday November 6, 2010 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church Rosholt. Rev Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home Stevens Point and again on Saturday from 9:00a.m. until time of services at the church.

Sacred Heart Rosary Society will combine with the parish rosary at 7:00p.m. Friday at the funeral home. For online condolences please visit
