SCHOFIELD (WAOW) -- Your pets life might be saved in a fire thanks to a donation from the Globe University vet tech club. The club donated masks to the Schofield Fire Department and demonstrate how to use them.

In the event of a fire the mask can be hooked up to an animal of any size and it provides them oxygen until taken to an emergency vet clinic.

"Most people have pets at home. And they didn't have masks. And the masks have to properly fit an animal. Human masks do not fit as well, so they do not get the proper oxygen," says Michelle Stewart, president of the Globe University vet tech club.

The Vet Tech club says two other fire departments in the area that have pet oxygen masks.
