ANTIGO (WAOW)--Veterinarian Sarah Lautenhiser is going above and beyond her day job to help reduce the feral cat population in Langlade County. Her new organization needs your help to get started.
Dr. Lautenhiser started Antigo Area Advocates for Animals in order to give back. After seeing a mailing from US Bank about a contest for businesses, she jumped at the chance to enter her program.
The organization's goal is to offer free services for farmers and people who live in rural areas to report feral cats and have them trapped, spayed or neutered, and then released back into the wild.
The program will also offer funding for families who cannot afford to have their pet spayed or neutered.
Now here's where you come in. By heading to US Bank's "Make it Happen" contest site, you can vote for Antigo Area Advocates for Animals to win the $5,000 dollar price.

All members of the community are welcome to join the group. A holiday chili dinner and silent auction will be held December 18th at the Langlade County Health Department. All proceeds will go towards the trap-neuter-return program.
