STEVENS POINT (WAOW) - It sometimes seems hard to imagine around here, but in some places around the world, children are taken from their homes and forced to fight in a war.
An organization called Invisible Children aims to stop it.
Members want to make a difference in Northern Uganda by ending the longest running conflict on the African continent.
The group gives a presentation at UW-Stevens Point outlining its efforts to bring soldier children home, rebuild their schools and provide jobs.
Two children from Uganda travel our country to speak of the horrific conditions in their homeland.
According to the Invisible Children website, donations are split 50-50, focusing half on efforts to end the war in Uganda. The other half is directed to children and their families.
