UPDATE; Body Found In Adams County

by Brittany Earl

BIG FLATS(WAOW)--The Adams County Sheriff's Department made a gruesome discovery at 8 AM Tuesday morning when they found a badly decomposing body at a home in the town of Big Flats.

Neighbors told Newsline 9, the elderly woman who lives at the home where the body was discovered, hasn't been seen in months.

Police arrested Larry Clark Tuesday morning after he voluntarily came in for questioning on a missing person's case. Last week the Adams County Sheriff's Department received a report of a missing elderly woman.

Their investigation led them to the Clark household on 1106 Beaver driver, where they executed a search warrant.

Police say they found that decomposing body on the property. They are not saying where at this time and the body has yet to be identified.

Clark is being held at the Adams County Jail, but police are not releasing on what charges. Police say Clark is a suspect but have yet to say if his arrest is linked to the discovery of the body.

Sheriff Darrell Renner, Adams County says, 'That's what we are still investigating, there is going to be an autopsy. We do not know the cause of death at this time so its still under investigation."

Sheriff Renner told Newsline 9 that Clark at this time is not being held on Homicide charges.

Neighbors said it was odd for the woman to not be out and about since she was considered to be pretty social but neighbors say Clark was a loner who always kept to himself.
