WITTENBERG-BIRNAMWOOD (WAOW)--Two suspects in a string of robberies at gas stations in Shawano County are in custody. One man was arrested Wednesday evening in Aniwa, the other is already being held at the Shawano Count Jail for an unrelated matter.

The Sheriff's Department isn't saying much, but they do believe the two men in custody are the ones involved in the robberies.

The 35-year-old man picked up in Aniwa is believed to be connected to the robbery of the Remington Oil gas station in Birnamwood. The robbery took place on November 12th around 11:30 p.m.

The other man already in police custody is 29-years-old. Police believe he is connected to robberies at Shell gas stations in Wittenberg.

A third 25-year-old suspect is also in custody in connection with the Remington Oil robbery.

All of the robberies took place in Shawano County over the past week.

Authorities are not releasing the names of the suspects. The investigation is still ongoing.
