Martha P. Czaplinski, 96, Formerly of 441 Washington Ave, Stevens Point died Saturday November 20, 2010 at Harmony Assisted Living in Stevens Point.
Born: August 20, 1914 in the Town of Dewey, daughter of the late Alexander and Josephine (Kowalewski) Napiwocki. She attended local schools.
Her marriage to Leo Czaplinski took place in Chicago, 1943. They moved to Town of Gunther Marathon County in 1945, then to Stevens Point in 1953. The couple later divorced. Leo died on March 24, 1994.
Martha was employed at Worth Co., and later at the Holiday Inn as a cook, and later at Delmonte.
Her hobbies were sewing, flower gardening, carpentry, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by one daughter, Elaine Olsen, Wausau, and one son, Harry Czaplinski, Stuttgart, Arkansas, two brothers, Albin (Heddy) Napiwocki, Mosinee, and Harry (Rita) Napiwocki, Stevens Point, stepbrother Jerry Moskaluk, Milwaukee, stepsister Alice Edwards, Milwaukee, four grandchildren Elliott Olsen, Emily Baumann, Heather Lacon, J.J. Leonard, and five great-grandchildren, Kayla Olsen, Mallory and Garrett Baumann, Liam and Logan Lacon.
Preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Iczkowski, Jean Kolodziej, four brothers, John Napiwocki, Walter Napiwocki, Alex Napiwocki and Stanley Napiwocki.
Funeral Mass 10:30a.m. Friday November 26, 2010 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 9:00a.m. until time of services in the St. Faustina room at the church. Parish rosary prayed at 10:00a.m. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home Stevens Point is assisting the family with arrangements.
