Both Chucks and Rafters Will Open 2011 at Home

ROCHESTER, MN (Press Release) - The Northwoods League has announced the dates and games for 2011 Opening Night and the 17th Annual Northwoods League All-Star Game. Opening night 2011 will be on Wednesday, June 1st while the all-star game festivities will be in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin on Sunday and Monday July 17-18.

June 1st – Opening Night 2011 

South Division:

Eau Claire Express @ Wisconsin Woodchucks

La Crosse Loggers @ Green Bay Bullfrogs

Madison Mallards @ Wisconsin Rapids Rafters

Waterloo Bucks @ Battle Creek Bombers

North Division:

Thunder Bay Border Cats @ Willmar Stingers

Alexandria Beetles @ Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers

Rochester Honkers @ Mankato MoonDogs

St. Cloud River Bats @ Duluth Huskies

 

The defending Northwoods League Champion Eau Claire Express are one of three teams that will start the season on the road but play their home opener the following night. Their 2010 NWL Championship opponent, the Rochester Honkers, will do the same. Six of the first seven nights of the season will see at least one home opener around the NWL. The entire 2011 Northwoods League schedule, including game times, will be announced next Monday, November 29th.
