Central Wisconsin Children's Museum opens in new location

STEVENS POINT (WAOW)--Thanks to 1.1 million dollars raised, the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum is now open in a larger building. There are new exhibits and upgraded favorites to keep your kids happy all year long.
Executive Director Katy Matthai said the museum now has twice the space as the old, and kids can't wait to explore new attractions.
"Kids who were kind of bored at the old museum are saying now 'I don't want to go home."
Eight-year-old Eleanor Belcher agrees. "I like coming here to make arts, crafts and stuff."
She spent the afternoon coloring a picture for Santa.
A bigger, brighter arts and crafts room is just one of the museum's new draws.
"We also added a 'Lights, Camera, Action' opportunity and exhibit where children can put on a play, use the dress up boxes and be a reporter," said Matthai.
The museum is only open to members until December 5th. Daily general admission starts on December 7th.
