Chester C. ‘Chubby' Bialas

94, of 1450 Water Street, Stevens Point died Wednesday November 24, 2010 at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital. Born November 6, 1916 in the town of Dewey.

Son of the late John & Salomena (Lebica) Bialas. He attended local schools.

His marriage to Isabell Niemczyk took place on October 26, 1940 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church Millcreek, after the marriage the couple moved to Chicago where Chester worked for Gibson Springs. In 1959 they returned to the town of Linwood where Chester worked on the family farm. He also worked at Steel King and most recently at the Schmeeckle Reserve.


He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, gardening, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Isabell Bialas of Stevens Point. Daughter Mary (Gary) Konop of Stevens Point, Son Wayne (Bonnie) Bialas of Stevens Point.

Grandchildren, Michael, Todd, Scott, Curt & Tony.

Great Grandchildren, Natalie, Tyler & Macy. Also survived by a brother, Steve (Harriet) Bialas of Des Plaines Il.

Preceded in death by several brothers & sisters.

Funeral Mass 10:00a.m. Saturday November 27, 2010 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church Millcreek. Rev Dennis Stanchik officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home Stevens Point and again on Saturday from 9:00a.m. until time of services at the church.
