Robert A. Mancheski, Age 78, of Stevens Point, passed away Sunday November 28, 2010 at his home. Robert was born May 7, 1932 in Stevens Point to John & Luella (Zwaska) Mancheski. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1950 and married Alice "Dolly" Grubba on Sept. 15, 1951. Upon Graduation, Robert obtained his first job as a truck driver for Bake-Rite Bakery. In 1956 Robert left the bakery and came into the family business, The North Side Bar. He worked there for many years, eventually taking over the business as sole proprietor when his Father passed away. This is what became Robert's lifestyle and passion and this is where he continued to work until his retirement in 2001. Robert enjoyed doing his job well. The most memorable part of his job was conversing with customers that often became friends. Robert had many hobbies outside of work that included fishing, hunting, picking mushrooms, gardening and working on his tractors. A memorial in his name will be established at a later date.

Survivors include his wife Alice "Dolly", four sons: Robert Jr. of Stevens Point, Michael (Colleen) of Stevens Point, Karl of Wausau & Joseph of Stevens Point. Three Daughters: Debra (Kenneth) Kuzynski of Stevens Point, Christine Mancheski of Stevens Point & Heidi (Steven) Feltz of Plover. 22 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren. 1 Brother: Fred (Didi) Mancheski of North Haven, CT. 3 Sisters: Dorothy Valatka of Elyria, OH. Ruth Komasa of Stevens Point and Mary Tech of Brandenton, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Stanley "Skip", 2 infant brothers John & Thomas, One daughter Gloria, One infant granddaughter Angle and one great infant grandson Johnathon.

Funeral Mass 11:00 AM Thursday Dec. 2, 2010 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. Kevin C. Louis Officiating. Burial in the Guardian Angel cemetery. Visitation from 9 AM until the time of services Thursday morning in the St. Faustina room at St. Peter Church. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
