Chester P. Wolosek, age 75, of Plover, died Thursday morning, Dec. 9, 2010, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
He was born on Sep. 3, 1935, in Knowlton, to the late Peter and Verona (Klopotek) Wolosek and he attended Mid-State Technical College for welding and small engine repair. On Oct. 24, 1959, he was married to Patricia Easker at St. Florian Catholic Church in Hatley.
Chester was a commercial potato grower, owning C.P. Wolosek & Sons, Inc. in Plover before his retirement.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved to travel, play poker and was a past member of Ducks Unlimited and Whitetails Unlimited. He was also a lifelong member and donor at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Plover; sons, Randy (Donna) of Ore City, Tex., Rodney of Almond, Roy (Jenny) of Marathon, and Robert of Plover; brothers, Larry (Cleo) of Plover, and Clifford (Linda) of Kenosha; sister, Sandi (Bill) Smith of Shawano; 13 grandchildren, Paul, Derek, Jacob, Stefanie, Morgan, Elizabeth, Rosabella, Lukas, Melissa, Jaylin, Takoda, Jillian and Juliet; great-grandson, Mason; 5 nephews and 10 nieces.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover with the Rev. Greg Bohren officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Road, Plover, and again on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. The rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
