MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin goalie Scott Gudmandson stopped 21 shots to lead Wisconsin to a 2-0 win over Bemidji State Saturday in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game.
The win by the Badgers (10-7-3, 6-6-2) gave them a sweep of the weekend series with the Beavers (5-10-1, 4-9-1). Gudmandson was also in the nets on Friday, stopping 25 shots in a 3-2 win.
It wasn't that close on Saturday, as the Badgers outshot Bemidji State 25-21.
Michael Mersch and Podge Turnbull scored goals Wisconsin. Mersch beat Bemidji State goalie Dan Bakala with 51 seconds left in the first period. Turnbull netted the Badgers' second goal at 13:08 of the third.
Justin Schultz picked up his third assist off the weekend on Mersch's goal.
Bakala made 23 saves.
