MADISON (Press Release) - For the first time in history, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has landed three individuals on the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) NCAA Division III All-America Team. UW-Stevens Point's Jared Jenkins, UW-Stout's Patrick Mengelkoch and UW-Whitewater's Matt Weber were recognized on the 2010 squad that featured 25 players.
A senior punter from Milwaukee, Wis. (Rufus King), Jenkins is the first individual in program listings to claim AFCA All-America accolades back-to-back seasons.
Mengelkoch, a senior tight end from Champlin, Minn. (Park), is the seventh individual in program history, and first since 2005, to secure All-America laurels from the AFCA.
Weber's selection marks the fourth straight year the Warhawks have placed an individual on the squad. He is a senior offensive lineman from Oregon, Wis.
