PORT EDWARDS (WAOW)-  Port Edwards head basketball coach John Chadwick coached the Hawks for 15 seasons from 1962 to 1977.

He won 230 games to just 66 losses at Port and never had a losing season at the school, with 281 wins overall in his head coaching career.

For that Chadwick is now a member of the 2010 induction class for the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame.

The school is honoring his accomplishment before their game tonight.

Coach Chadwick gives credit to all those around him through the years

Says John Chadwick, "I was fortunate to be, the majority of the time at Port Edwards, we had a YMCA that helped in the development of players, I had fine assistant coaches and dedicated young men. As the years went by, I never realized how important it really was to me, and I look at it as a great honor."
