MARSHFIELD (WAOW) -- Christmas lights come down as the holiday season passes, but some lights are still giving a little Christmas cheer.

The lights are off at the Rotary Winter Wonderland in Marshfield, after the event collected about 40,000 food can donations over the course of a month.

The food is given to area food pantries. A local food pantry says the Wonderland helps them feed the needy.

"I don't even want to imagine what it would be like if we didn't have the food. We'd have to spend so much more money on food. We'd have to spend so much more on it," St. Vincent De Paul Director Deb Steltenpohl said. "That way we can use that money and help other people in other ways."
