WAUSAU (WAOW) -- After an hour and a half of deliberations Thursday, a jury found Raul Ponce-Rocha guilty of murdering Breanna Schneller. 18 year old Schneller was found murdered in May 2009.
As the judge read the verdict aloud in the packed courtroom, there was a flood of emotion. Breanna's father pumped his fists in the air. Her mother started sobbing, finally getting justice for her daughter.
After showing very little emotion throughout this trial, Raul Ponce-Rocha started to cry.
Besides the murder conviction Ponce-Rocha was also found guilty of armed burglary and theft. The penalty is a mandatory life sentence, but the judge could grant him parole after 20 years.
