Carla-Marie Boettcher, of 440 Fourth Avenue, Stevens Point, passed away at the age of 81, Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at the Stevens Point Care Center. Preceding her in death were her father and mother, Herman L. and Ilma E. Toser; brother, Richard J. Toser, of Park Ridge (Stevens Point); and her husband, Clifford E. Boettcher, of Wausau. She is survived by her two sons, Barry (Koreen), St. Charles, Illinois, and Brian (Bonnie), Port Washington; and one granddaughter, Samantha.

Carla was born December 4, 1929. A long time resident of Stevens Point, she graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society.

She was a dance instructor and choreographer in Stevens Point for a number of years and will be remembered by the many students she instructed at the Carla-Marie Dance Studio. She also choreographed a number of musicals for local high schools, the University of Wisconsin and Community Capers.

Carla will be remembered for her many years of service with the Portage County Historical Society where her dedication and accomplishments were acknowledged with a "life-long" membership to the organization.

Carla-Marie was recognized and thanked by the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point and its "Task Force: Celebrating Women's Achievements." She was honored with a certificate of appreciation for her unselfish contributions to the betterment of life in central Wisconsin. She was also recognized by the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society of Portage County at an annual awards banquet for her work in helping their fight against cancer.

Carla was also the proprietor of Carla's Antiques at the Downtown Antique Mall.

Carla-Marie's kindness and goodness acquired her a great number of friends and she will be sadly missed.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, in Stevens Point, with Pastor David Guerrero officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in the town of Grand Rapids. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
