GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) -- North Dakota native Brooks Bollinger says he's calling it a career as a quarterback.
The former Grand Forks high school standout who went on to play at Wisconsin and then in the NFL and UFL tells the Grand Forks Herald that all the hits he's taken have taken a toll on his body, and he's done "unless something crazy happens."
The 31-year-old Bollinger played the past two seasons for the UFL's Florida Tuskers. He was league MVP his first season. He also played for the New York Jets, Minnesota and Dallas in the NFL, and had a five-day stint with Detroit.
Bollinger says he hasn't decided what he'll do next in life. He lives in Minnesota's Twin Cities, and his wife is expecting their third child next month.
