WISCONSIN RAPIDS (WAOW) -- Churches provide homeless with a place to stay in Wisconsin Rapids.

Several area churches alternate days of the week to open their buildings for those who have nowhere to stay. The shelter opens it's doors from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at night where people can stay until 7 a.m. the next morning.

As of right now, there is a place to stay each night of the week, except for Saturday.

The pastor at Baker Street Community Church says they don't want anyone to be without a home.

"They're overlooked. They're forgotten. We don't want to overlook anyone. We don't want to forget anyone in our community, and we want to be an agent of grace and of love to our community," Senior Pastor at Baker Street Community Church Milt Van Natta said.

The program last till February 28th. The pastor believes the program will extend into March because of low temperatures.
