MADISON (AP) -- Wisconsin politicians are getting into the sports euphoria that is sweeping the state following the Green Bay Packers win on Sunday over the Chicago Bears that takes them to the Super Bowl.
Republican Gov. Scott Walker sent numerous tweets during the game on Sunday, even noting that his wedding anniversary is the same day as the Super Bowl on Feb. 6. His birthday was the day he won election.
Walker tweeted the message, "c a pattern here?"
Democrats were also getting into the fun. State party chairman Mike Tate joked on Monday that while the Packers were headed to the Super Bowl under a Republican governor, they played the entire regular season under Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle.
