Emerick P. Wojtalewicz, 79, of Stevens Point, died Wednesday January 26, 2011 at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital. Born June 26, 1931 in Stevens Point. Son of the late Joseph & Catherine (Wisnewski) Wojtalewicz. He attended Pulaski school.
Emerick moved to Milwaukee as a young man, he worked at Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee. His marriage to Violet Grobko took place on November 5, 1955. Emerick returned to Stevens Point in 1978.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gambling, polka music, family gatherings, and spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his Brothers, Chester (Florence) Wojtalewicz of Stevens Point & Emil (Angie) Wojtalewicz of Stevens Point. Sisters, Alvina Marchel & Theresa (Edward) Losinski both of Stevens Point. Also survived by nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by five sisters, Teckla Hoffman, Emma Ostrowski, Regina Janiszewski & Stella Cychosz and an infant sister Mary. Four brothers, Roman, Joseph, Ben and Edwin Wojtalewicz. Fiancé Irene Kowalski.
Emerick was a warm and gentle man, who touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the staff at the Stevens Point Care Center 3rd floor.
Funeral Mass: 10:30am Saturday January 29, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Polonia. Rev Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation on Saturday from 9:00am until time of services at the church. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home Stevens Point is assisting the family with arrangements.
