WAUSAU (WAOW) -- Wausau is having a special Spring election.

District 1 will have a primary for a new alderperson.

William Nagle, Carmen Siegel and Mary Kowatch are running for the open seat.

The primary will narrow it down from three to two candidates.

"Bill Nagle came on board and now it's an official, open seat. The three of these people are running for this position," Wausau City Clerk Toni Rayala said.

Voters will cast their ballot at Pilgrim Lutheran Church - not The Wausau Health Care Center.

The final election is April 5th. The winner will serve on the city council.
