BARABOO (WKOW) -- Packers fans now have their answer to Pittsburgh Steelers fans' Terrible Towel.
McArthur Towel & Sports unveiled the design for the Packers Titletown Towel. It shows the Packers logo, along with the date and location of Super Bowl XLV.
"We are excited to offer this rally towel for all of our faithful fans," said Kandi Goltz, Green Bay Packers game and fan development manager. "We want fans to display the G-Force pride to help the team get ready for the biggest game of the year."
The original Title Towel debuted in the fall of 1996 and followed the Packers to their Super Bowl XXXI Championship in 1997. This piece of gold-waving terrycloth became a must-have item in the Midwest and was embraced by Packers fans across the nation.
"The Titletown Towel is back and Packers fans will now have an opportunity to own another piece of Super Bowl history," said Gregg McArthur, president of McArthur Towel & Sports. "The fan towel has become a great football tradition."
The Titletown Towel will be available at the Packer Pro Shop, Shopko and other fine retailers.
