WAUSAU (WAOW) -- With heavy snow expected to move into the southern areas of Wisconsin that could have a domino effect on travel plans for those here in Central Wisconsin.
CWA says they have no delays and don't expect any pre-cancellations as of Monday.
The airport connects flights to other airports that may receive heavy amounts of snow over the next few days. If flights at airports, such as O'Hare or Milwaukee become canceled or delayed, it could affect CWA, backing up departure times.
That's why it's important to be prepared to make changes to your winter travel plans.
"Passengers that are traveling the next two days, they may want to pay attention to both of these websites - united.com and american.com. [They should] check their flight status to see what their other options would be in case they can get around Chicago or if their flight cancels," Marketing Coordinator for CWA Ashleigh Marzynski said.
The spokesperson for CWA says the airlines are good about updating their information. If you sign up for those services, some will send their updates through email or text message alerts.
