SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) -- A 74-year-old Wisconsin woman was charged Tuesday in the death of her infant daughter more than 50 years ago.
Ruby Klokow appeared in Sheboygan County Circuit Court where a $10,000 cash bond was ordered. Klokow was arrested Monday, more than two years after her son came forward with information about the 1957 death of the 7-month-old girl.
Prosecutors say Klokow threw the baby onto a couch when she became angry with the child. The girl suffered brain injuries when she bounced onto the floor. She was pronounced dead at the hospital hours later.
WLUK-TV says Kloklow is charged with second-degree murder under the state law in place in 1957.
