Agnes Choate

Agnes Choate, age 89, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at her daughter, Susan Peterson's, home in Reedsburg, WI. Agnes was born on December 11, 1921, in Stevens Point, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Stella (Ksionsk) Wroblewski.

Agnes grew up on a farm in the Stevens Point area. In her late teens, Agnes moved to Chicago, IL where she met and fell in love with Merle Andrew Choate. They were united in marriage on May 14, 1942 in Perryville, MO. Agnes and Merle lived in California for two years while Merle was stationed overseas during WWII. They then moved to Milwaukee, WI and then to Carol Stream, IL, where they lived for 21 years. In 1987, Agnes and Merle retired to Stevens Point. Merle preceded her in death on May 30, 1988.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Stanley, Raymond, and Benjamin Wroblewski; sisters-in-law, Violet, Philmae, and Dorothy Wrobleweski.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan M. (Clark) Peterson of Reedsburg; Grandchildren, Joshua, Elizabeth, Micah and Isaac Peterson of Reedsburg; Brothers and sisters, Lillian Koslowski of Green Bay, Gracie (Leonard) Gagas, Gertie (Benedict) Schulist, Rita (Anthony) Schulist, Dominic (Esther) Wroblewski, Dorothy (Raymond) Gagas of Stevens Point, all of Stevens Point; Sister-in-law, Bernice Wroblewski of Stevens Point, and three sons; She is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Saturday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Rev. George Thayikuzhithottu Officiating. Burial in the guardian angel cemetery. Visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of services Saturday morning at the Church. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. For on line condolences please visit
