From no-names to Super Bowl coaches

DALLAS (AP) -- No one is asking "Mike Who?" anymore about the coaches in Sunday's Super Bowl.

When they were hired, though, Green Bay's Mike McCarthy and Pittsburgh's Mike Tomlin had many people scratching their heads. How did such obscure coordinators grab two of the most prominent jobs in the NFL?

McCarthy was the offensive coordinator in San Francisco when he stepped into a position that always will be measured against an icon of the game, Vince Lombardi.

Tomlin had spent one year as Minnesota's defensive coordinator when he was picked by the Steelers to replace Bill Cowher -- and become just the third head coach in Pittsburgh since 1969.

There's no arguing their credentials -- or success rate -- now.
