With just over one week left in the regular season, the senior wrestler has so far made good on his word.
"Last year I was 37-4, I only had four losses," Karlen said. "I told myself I could go undefeated this year and hopefully win it."
"After last year taking third at state and just wrestling to his ability and coming into practice working hard and being a great leader for us this year too," Edgar head coach Kevin Koch said.
Karlen has been dominant each time he's taken the mat. He's unbeaten at 32-0, including two pins en route to the 215 pound Marawood conference championship last weekend in Auburndale.
"Aaron is a very focused and determined individual," Koch said. "He sets his goals high and its just shown. He makes goals, he sets his goals high and he reaches them."
