MARSHFIELD (WAOW) -- Marshfield High School's school colors are black and orange.

Thursday night the girls hockey team added pink to the mix.

It' called Pink The Rink, and it's an event to raise money for the American Cancer Society. All proceeds will go to the area relay for life.

The goal was to have fans show up to the Marshfield Ice Center wearing pink

The event featured different activities, such as a coaches shootout.

Organizers decorated the rink with all things pink.

"They're playing against Point-Rapids for a breast cancer awareness thing to show our support for people that have survived cancer or that still have it and are fighting it," said Morgan Larson, a member of Marshfield's U14 hockey team.

The event started at 7 p.m.
