Wis. woman's body found under snow on her property

YORKVILLE, Wis. (AP) -- A Yorkville woman is apparently the fourth person in Wisconsin to die from this week's blizzard.

The body of 52-year-old Sharon Everett was found Thursday covered by 3-4 feet of snow on her property in southeastern Wisconsin.

Everett's car got stuck in a ditch Tuesday night. The Racine County sheriff's office says she declined help from rescue workers and got a ride home from a tow truck driver after he couldn't get her car out.

The Journal Times reports the tow truck driver couldn't maneuver into Everett's long driveway, so he dropped her off. She was last seen walking toward her house.

Deputies tried to contact Everett after finding her car still stuck. A deputy found her body about 300 feet from her home.

Three people died in Milwaukee County trying to clear snow from the blizzard.
