MADISON (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker is set to sign a bill that would grant businesses tax deductions for adding jobs.
The Republican measure would extend tax breaks to companies for every new job they create. The benefits would be worth between $92 and $316 per job, depending on the size of the company and its tax bracket. They would cost the state $67 million over two years.
Democrats have blasted the cuts as insignificant.
Walker is scheduled to sign the bill Friday afternoon at Saris Cycling Group, a Madison company that produces bike racks.
