LINCOLN COUNTY (WAOW)--The man accused of killing his mother for an insurance pay out will stand trial.
Chase Boruch was arrested in December for the murder of his mother, Sally Pergolski. If convicted he could spend life in prison.
According to the criminal complaint, Boruch and his mother were in a car crash on the way to a fishing trip in Town of Harrison. Boruch told officers they lost control of their car and landed in Moraine Lake and his mother drowned. Authorities questioned his story. An autopsy showed Pergolski experienced head trauma two hours before the accident was reported.
Just weeks before the accident, Pergolski took out a $1 million dollars insurance policies and her son was a beneficiary.
