Packers fans storm Lambeau to celebrate Super Bowl win

GREEN BAY (WAOW)--Fans flocked to Lambeau field Monday to welcome home the boys in Green and Gold.

Lines of fans stretched outside the stadium just for a chance to enter the Pro Shop. Fans couldn't wait to get their hands on Super Bowl Championship hats and locker room tees. Thousands gathered along the street to try and catch a glimpse of their favorite players as they arrived from the airport.

Wausau fan Diane Champaigne left early Monday morning to check out Lambeau. Other fans brought memorabilia and signs to welcome home the team.

"It's awesome! This is a great win...we've been waiting for this for a long time," said super fan John Vanlanen who brought a homemade Lombardi trophy with him. He said people were lining up to take pictures with the trophy.

It's hard to say whether this win means more than those in year's past, but fans definitely have the Packer fever.
