'Return to Titletown' event at Lambeau sells out; 50,000 plus expected


GREEN BAY (PRESS RELEASE)-  Tickets for today's "Return to Titletown," a celebration of the Packers' victory in Super Bowl XLV, are sold out. Approximately 56,000 tickets have been distributed for the event. 

The event inside Lambeau Field is scheduled from 4 to 5 p.m. this afternoon. Stadium gates will open at 2 p.m. 

WFRV-TV Green Bay and WTMJ-TV Milwaukee, along with Packers Television Network stations (WKOW, Madison; WAOW, Wausau/Rhinelander; WXOW, La Crosse; WQOW, Eau Claire; WYOW, Eagle River; WJMN, Marquette, Mich.) will broadcast the event live from 4 to 5 p.m. The stations will rebroadcast the event in primetime that evening as well, with times varying by station. 620WTMJ Radio, along with many Packers Radio Network stations, will simulcast the event live as well. 

Packers partners Bellin Health, ShopKo, Oneida Nation and Associated Bank are presenting the event with the organization. A portion of the proceeds will benefit charity through the Green Bay Packers Foundation. Parking for the event is free. 

Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, General Manager Ted Thompson, Head Coach Mike McCarthy and the team will join the event. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt will participate as well. WTMJ Radio's Wayne Larrivee and WFRV-TV Sports Director and Packers Hall of Famer Larry McCarren will host the event. 

Features also include a special season highlights video on Lambeau Field's TundraVision and a celebratory fireworks display at the conclusion of the event.
