(WAOW)-  Wausau West hockey coach Pete Susens is now tied as the winningest coach in Wisconsin history, winning his 512th career game on Thursday night in Wisconsin Rapids.

His Warriors knocked off the Raiders 7-0 which ties Susens for first all time with former Madison Memorial coach Vic Levine.

We caught up with Susens last night and he talked about how meaningful this milestone really is for him and the West program.

Says Susens, "The simplest way to put it, I've had 30 plus years of good hockey players, good student athletes and great support from my family, my wife Kim, the administration at West and great assistant coaches. No one person does a thing like this, it's a combination of just being in the right place at the right time."
